A trained vet from Germany, Dorit Alberstein spent much of her career in the USA studying sustainable ranching techniques. For the past 2 decades, she has worked to bring these to British beef farming, while managing a herd of 1500 Aberdeen Angus cattle over 10,000 Acres of Salisbury Plain.

This photo series documents Dorit at work, applying these innovative techniques to reduce the requirement for feed and wintering animals indoors; thus increasing animal welfare and the overall sustainability of the meat produced.
